AA driving school pupils
Your instructor
Your instructor is a self-employed franchisee (Your Instructor) of Automobile Association Developments Limited (the AA driving school).
Lessons
The contract for driving tuition is solely between You and Your Instructor. You and Your Instructor are responsible for agreeing all matters relating to the timing, location and duration of individual lessons.
You must notify Your Instructor of any matters which affect your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example, but not limited to, any lack, or loss, of a valid provisional driving licence.
AA The Driving School Agency Limited acts as agent for Your Instructor in receiving Your payments for driving tuition, other than payments made directly by You to Your Instructor. Where AA driving school and/or AA The Driving School Agency Limited makes bookings with, or supplies any information or documentation to You, or processes any payments for Your lessons, they act as the agent of Your Instructor.
Cancellations
If You or Your Instructor wish to cancel a lesson a minimum of 48 hours prior notice should be given. Cancellations must be made directly between You and Your Instructor.
If you do not give at least 48 hours notice of cancellation, Your Instructor will be entitled to charge for the lesson(s) concerned.
Payments and lesson bookings
You must pay for tuition in advance by using one of the following methods:
Payment by credit or debit card online at www.AAdrivingschool.co.uk
Payment by credit or debit card by telephoning the AA driving school Customer Service Centre
Payment by cash, cheque or credit/debit card direct to your AA Instructor. (Any cheques must be made payable to Your Instructor. Your instructor will confirm whether or not they are able to take payments via credit or debit card).
AA driving school has no responsibility or liability to You for payments made by other means and further if you do pay Your Instructor directly by cash, cheque or card payment, You should obtain a receipt. AA driving school accepts no responsibility for any payments made direct to Instructors.
Price changes
The price of lessons which have not been pre-paid as part of a block booking may be changed at any time. You will always receive prior notice of such changes.
The cost of prepaid tuition is based on the lesson price in force at time of booking and will be honoured for 12 months thereafter irrespective of any price increase that may occur between the date of booking and when the lessons are taken. Any unused lessons remaining after 12 months have elapsed shall have any lesson price increase applied.
Transferability of lessons
You cannot sell or transfer lessons which have been purchased in Your name to any other person without consent.
Liability
Your Instructor, AA driving school and/or AA The Driving School Agency Limited are not liable to You for any loss or damage caused where, and to the extent that:
there is no breach of a legal duty owed to You by the relevant person or body;
such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of such a breach;
any such loss or damage, or increase in the same, results from any breach or omission by You;
any such loss or damage results from circumstances or matters outside of the reasonable control of the relevant person or body
Your Instructor, AA driving school and/or AA The Driving School Agency Limited shall not, in any event, be liable for losses relating to any business interests You may have including, without limitation, lost profits, loss of opportunity or business or business interruption.
You are reminded that neither AA driving school and/or AA The Driving School Agency Limited are parties to the contract for driving tuition itself, which is between You and Your Instructor. This does not affect any liability that AA driving school and/or AA The Driving School Agency Limited may have for any loss or damage You may incur which is caused directly as a result of any breach (including negligence) by it or them of any legal duty owed by it or them to You.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect any statutory rights You may have as a consumer.
Law applying to terms and conditions
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Your Instructor is obliged to adhere to the following standards:
1. All tuition must be in line with DSA and AA guidelines
2. A progress sheet must be accurately maintained for every pupil
3. Smoking during lessons with a pupil in the car is not permitted under any circumstances
4. The Instructor must be dressed appropriately. Denim, tracksuits, t-shirts and trainers are not permissable
5. As a representative of the AA brand, the instructor must always comply with The Highway Code and maintain a polite, professional, and respectful attitude towards pupils, other road users, other AA franchised instructors and members of the Customer Service Centre staff.
6. No passengers are allowed in the vehicle during tuition, with the exception of Interpreters, DSA officials and representatives of the AA The Driving School
7. The vehicle must be maintained in a clean, tidy, undamaged and roadworthy condition
8. All lesson times, dates and durations must be upheld. If this is not possible and difficulties may occur as a result, the instructor must contact the pupil by telephone giving maximum notice (as a minimum standard, this must be prior to the start of the lesson)
9. The Instructor must ensure that all pupils have a training and appointment record and that they have read, accepted and completed the Terms and Conditions section.

Any information submitted to Paul Bacon DSA, via this web site will not be passed onto any other company or individual, except to the AA The Driving School, for the sole purpose of registering you with them as a pupil. A copy of the AA The Driving School's Data Protection terms are printed below.
AA
Information you provide or we hold about you (whether or not under our contract (or contracts) with you) may be used by us or our agents to:
identify you when you contact us;
help identify accounts, services and/or products which you could have from us from time to time. We may do this by automatic means using a scoring system, which uses the information you have provided, any information we hold about you and information from third party agencies (including credit reference agencies).
help administer, and contact you about improved administration of, any accounts, services and products we have provided before, or provide now or in the future;
carry out marketing analysis and customer profiling (including with transactional information) and create statistical and testing information;
help to prevent and detect fraud or loss; and
contact you in any way (including mail, email, phone, visit, text or multimedia messages) about products and services offered by us and selected partners. We will only contact you in this way if you have previously indicated your consent. We may allow other people and organisations to use information we hold about you for the purpose of providing services you have asked for, as part of the process of selling one or more of our businesses, or if we have been legitimately asked to provide information for legal or regulatory purposes or as part of legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings. From time to time, these other people and organisations may be outside the European Economic Area in countries that do not have the same standards of protection for personal data as the UK.We may monitor and record communications with you (including phone conversations and emails) for quality assurance, legal, compliance and training purposes. We will check your details with fraud prevention agencies. If you provide false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we will record this.
We and other organisations may use and search these records to:
help make decisions about credit and credit related services for you and members of your household;
help make decisions on motor, household, credit, life and other insurance proposals and insurance claims for you and other members of your household;
trace debtors, recover debt, prevent fraud, and to manage your accounts or insurance policies; and check your identity to prevent money laundering unless you give us other satisfactory proof of identity.
